Burress Injury Law PLLC is a very highly-rated law firm based in McKinney, Texas. However, we handle important cases all over Texas and across the United States. Our law firm only handles personal injury cases and our focus centers on a strategy of quality over quantity.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our firm. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of administrative processes, coordinating with legal teams, vendors, and helping maintain a productive office environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced legal setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Administrative Assistant to the CEO to ensure seamless daily operations
- Coordinate office supplies, vendor services, and equipment and building maintenance
- Maintain and update internal systems such as databases, calendars, and task management tools
- Help onboard new employees, including preparation of HR documents and coordination of IT setup
- Handle mail, deliveries, and front desk duties as needed
- Manage sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion and integrity
- Assist with accounting tasks such as invoicing, bank deposits, reconciling invoices and checks
- Coordinate the processing of invoices and vendor payments in a timely and accurate manner
- Preparing documents and professional letters, as needed
- Provide personal assistance to executives, including managing travel arrangements, scheduling appointments, and handling personal errands
- Organize and maintain important physical and digital records to ensure accessibility and accuracy
- Support firm-wide initiatives and projects, including office events
- Finding ways to improve administrative processes
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or similar role
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and solution-oriented
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in light accounting and experience with financial and banking tasks
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
- Proficiency with Microsoft & Excel
- Familiar with Accounts Payable processes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proximity to McKinney, TX. This is not a remote position
